The PMW-200 is set to record 50 Mbps MPEG HD422 as MXF files on UDF formatted cards. Or you
can set the camcorder for FAT mode recording to shoot SxS cards compabile with the XDCAM EX
format made by the PMW-EX1/R or PMW-320/350. For SD applications you can make DVCAM
recordings as either MXF files or XDCAM EX compatible files.The camera is equipped with three
half-inch Exmor CMOS sensors.Users can shoot a range of recording formats including
50Mbps/35Mbps MXF, 35Mbps/25Mbps MP4 and DVCAM.The PMW-200 also captures footage at 1
fps to 60 fps in 720p mode, and from 1 fps to 30 fps in 1080p mode.
An immediate playback function allows operators to view their shots without the use of external
converters or processing on non-linear editing systems.The camera comes with a 15 second
cache recording feature which the manufacturer said is unique among handheld camcorders. A Wi-
Fi remote control (see image, right) for the PMW-200 adds flexibility for studio or on-location use.
